WHAT IS DTS-FM? The Discipleship Training School (DTS/CDTS) is an entry-level prerequisite for all other UofN courses and YWAM ministries. The DTS or CDTS is an intensive Christian training course beginning with a 12-week lecture/teaching phase followed by n 8 to 12 week practical field assignment. The DTS is designed to encourage students in personal character development, to deepen a living relationship with God and to identify their unique individual gifts and callings in God. The Frontier Mission DTS (FM-DTS) and 10/40 Window DTS may extend the lecture phase to 14 weeks and will supplement the normal DTS curriculum with the biblical basis of missions, information about unreached peoples, and/or helpful training on longer-term cross-cultural ministry.

WHAT IS THE SOFM? The SOFM is an ideal entrance into a fruitful cross-cultural ministry amongst unreached people groups. The aim of the school is to give you the skills you will need to minister as part of a team focused on church planting amongst the least reached – including culture and language acquisition, church planting, missions strategy, team relationships and raising and maintaining support. Skills developed during the initial three-month classroom phase are developed further during the subsequent field assignment – normally 2 years. The SOFM focuses on unreached people groups among Muslims, Hindus, Tribals, Chinese, Buddhists or Tribals. YWAM's Discipleship Training School is a prerequisite.
WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT THIS SCHOOL? This a a mobile SOFM that will focus on Argentine tribes in the Salta, desert peoples, peoples in India and also China.

Description
Starting Month: January.... What is SOFM? The SOFM is an overview of and preparation for longer-term, cross-cultural missions to least-evangelized peoples. It has some specific skill training -- usually cross-cultural adjustment, culture and language learning -- during the initial three-month course that is developed further during the subsequent field assignment. Broadly, the SOFM covers the biblical and historical foundations for mission, intercultural communication, missions strategy, and personal and team relationships. The course may also address aspects of the worker’s personal relationship with God, interpersonal relationships, leadership and authority, team building and team dynamics, developing and relating with a prayer/financial support team. The SOFM focuses on unreached people groups among Muslims, Hindus, Tribals, Chinese, Buddhists and Tribals. It trains workers for living and ministering among unreached people groups with church planting as a key strategy in discipling new converts.
YWAM's Discipleship Training School is a prerequisite.
The SOFM has a two-year field assignment.

What is School of Islamic Studies? This tertiary-level school (SOFM is a prerequisite) has an initial three-month lecture phase that is followed by a field placement. The SIS focuses on the beliefs, culture and worldview of the Islamic world. It will equip you toanswer 'What will the church look like among a particular Muslim people group?' The SIS will train you to contextualize evangelism, discipleship and leadership training among Muslim peoples. The SIS may also address personal and team relationships, the worker’s personal relationship with God, leadership and authority, and other issues related to cross-cultural missions among Islamic peoples.

WHAT IS HMT? (Formerly Strategy Coordinator Training)
Training on development and implementation of a comprehensive, multi-faceted strategy (end vision) in order to see multiple church planting movements (CPMs) initiated and nurtured in an entire unreached people group, 4K zone, or city. The trainee will learn how to answer the question: “what will it take for all of this people/4K zone/city to have access to the gospel and have multiple CPMs occurring." He/she focuses on cooperating with God and “doing what it takes” to achieve the end vision, mobilizing, training and implementing with his own organization and multiple partner organisations/churches.

STARTING MONTH: January....WHAT IS SFM? Students in this course learn how to communicate the gospel in culturally relevant ways. Students gain skills in audio and visual communication which can be directly applied to frontier missions work. Lectures, workshops and field experiences are conducted by crosscultural communication specialists and media professionals currently working in their field of expertise. Topics include: visual symbolism in cross-cultural contexts, foreign language translation, field photography, videography and audio recording, audio-visual scriptwriting, computer generated graphics and animation, research and culture learning skills, and the use of indigenous forms of media.

WHAT IS ONE STORY? OneStory’s aim is to equip you with oral strategies to take the Word of God to illiterate, unreached people groups around the world. You will learn how to communicate a complete gospel message through telling Bible stories chronologically. You will learn how to tell these stories contexually and in the community's native tongue so they have relevance to the listening community. OneStory also helps you to equip indigenous believers to pass on these stories so a church planting movement can be facilitated.
WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT THIS SCHOOL? This two week introductory course is for those who are not yet committed to a project but considering one. Completing this introductory course alone does not qualify people to do One Story projects.
